we created an experience to highlight a
holiday that has been overlooked for so many years in america. juneteenth was established in 1865 for african-americans to celebrate their freedom and livelihood. between the late 1700s-1850, over 100,000 slaves used the underground railroad to seek freedom. the last stop for that underground railroad was at liberty state park, in jersey city, new jersey.
the juneteenth celebration is made to uplift, enlighten, unify, and celebrate us all.
